Denise Krammer (Cologne, GER / Rio de Janeiro, BRA) is a multi-award-winning singer and composer from Brazil. A samba specialist, Denise served as a judge for the world-famous Carnival parade in Rio and has shared the stage with Beth Carvalho, the grande dame of samba.
Denise studied Brazilian Pop Music (MPB) and songwriting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, jazz vocals and composition in Sweden, and earned her Master of Music degree from the Cologne University of Music. She currently holds Germany's only teaching position for Brazilian music at the University of Hildesheim.
Denise performs solo with vocals and guitar, as well as in various bands, in the world music and jazz genres. She has performed live on German television (WDR), headlined the Koblenz International Guitar Festival, performed with the Cologne Philharmonic, appeared at the Frankfurt Book Fair, and is a frequent guest at festivals.
Denise is also a versatile and adaptable composer and arranger. With her album "Coisa Linda," she received numerous awards and accolades, and with the electronic track "Compasso Brasileiro," she landed a hit in Europe's hottest clubs, which has been streamed over 2 million times on Spotify.
Denise was awarded Best Latin Singer in Germany.
